A BUSY Black Country motorway junction was partially closed today (May 27) due to flooding as a result of the downpours.
Highways officers were forced to stop traffic travelling on the M5 at Junction 3 in Halesowen towards Junction 2 in Oldbury at around 4.30pm this afternoon.
Crews were quickly on the scene trying to relieve some of the flood water and managed to get one lane re-opened around 15 minutes later to allow traffic to file past the scene.
The second lane was reopened a further 20 minutes after that at around 5.25pm while crews continued to battle the heavy rainfall and work to ease the floodwater.
