TWO selfless six year old will be getting their hair cut for a good cause.

Wyre Forest school girls Ella Cook and Elissa Powell-Ryan will have 30cm cut off their hair to donate to the Little Princess Trust and raise funds for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Ella is currently at Wilden All Saints CE Primary School, Stourport, and Elissa attends Lickhill Primary.

Elissa, who has previously been a patient of the eye hospital department, hoped to raise £500 with her longest friend Ella for the hospital as a way of thanking them for the treatment and care she received.

Ella's mum Kim said: "They have currently exceeded their expectations by raising over £1,000 for the two charities.

"They hope to donate the money directly to the eye department, as well as play appeal scheme.

"They are also collecting for the Little Princess Trust through sponsorships which will go towards the cost of making wigs for young people who have lost their hair after cancer treatment.

"Hairdressers around Kidderminster have been supporting the two girls with Hairdresser Hayley Oliver cutting their hair on Monday June 4, and others collecting money from tins in their shops."
