JUBILANT youngsters and staff at a Franche preschool are celebrating after receiving a glowing report from Government inspectors.

Ofsted rated Barnabee’s Preschool, in Wolverley Road, as ‘outstanding’ in all aspects following an inspection carried out last month.

Inspectors heaped praise on the leadership, quality of teaching, personal development and the outcomes for children attending the facility.

Proud co-owners Jo Fern and Sam Lavender said they were delighted with Ofsted’s findings.

The report highlighted how staff had excellent relationships with parents and promoted youngsters’ emotional wellbeing, leaving pupils with high self-esteem.

It also said the management ensured staff were very motivated, given excellent training and kept well-informed all of which resulted in a hugely positive impact on the children’s learning.

Mrs Fern said: “We are very proud of our Barnabee’s pre-school and its outstanding Ofsted achievement.

“We would like to thank all our staff for their outstanding work they do with the children, which shows in the care and attention they give.

“We do also have amazing parents and children, we are like one big happy family.

Mrs Lavender added: “We have made quite a lot of improvements to the inside and outside provision since we took over two and half years ago, especially our woodland area, which they spend a lot of their time, exploring and learning in their natural environment.

“We are quite lucky to have a large playground area and a large woodland area and we utilize these to their full extent, by planning the day’s activities out in the environment, children learn so much through play and that’s what Barnabee’s is all about.

“It is nice to know that Ofsted feel the same as us as managers about our early years provision, staff, parents and most of all our children.”
