Police are looking for a pair of reckless moped riders who have been causing misery to villagers in Cleobury Mortimer.

Two men, described as being in their late teens or early twenties, have been tearing up roads, loudly revving up their machines, and hurling abuse at residents.

Officers were informed of the riders causing havoc again on Ron Hill Lane yesterday evening (Wednesday June 20), where they continued to cause distress.

And they added this is not the first time such incidents have happened in this area.

The alleged offenders were wearing helmets and as a result no further descriptions are available.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "The anti-social riding of mopeds can be dangerous and the Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to identify them so that they can be spoken to regarding this behaviour.

"If they persist in riding in this manner, a Section 59 Warning Notice can be issued to them and if they do not then curb their behaviour their mopeds will be seized by the Police."

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Police on 101 and refer to the incident number 0844S 200618, or people can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or by visiting the website https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information.
