VIEWERS were left feeling emotional as ITV2 aired a short tribute to Sophie Gradon ahead of Thursday’s Love Island.

A slate appeared for a few seconds just before the episode started which read: “In loving memory of Sophie Gradon.”

The words were accompanied by a picture of the 32-year-old former Love Island star smiling.

Courtney Hadwin, 13, has become a social media sensation following her appearance on the US talent show and judge Simon Cowell described her as a “lion”.

The music mogul’s fellow judge, Howie Mandel, was so impressed by her cover of Otis Redding’s Hard To Handle he pushed his golden buzzer, meaning the year nine schoolgirl goes straight through to the live shows.

JENNIFER Lopez has made an impassioned plea urging her fans to fight against the United States’ policy of separating immigrant children from parents being detained for illegally entering the country.

President Donald Trump agreed to stop the controversial practice in the face of mounting international criticism and now politicians are set to vote on new measures aimed at halting the separations.

Many celebrities joined the chorus of voices criticising the policy and now Lopez has described the issue as “about basic human rights and decency”.

The Australian pop star celebrated the milestone in May and in an interview with The Sun she discussed her career, private life and refused to rule out marriage.
