KIND golfers will come together to boost good causes at the 10th annual Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club charity day.

Players will battle over 18 holes on Friday, July 6 but with the main aim of collecting money for three charities – Cancer Research, Macmillan Nurses, Midlands Air Ambulance, Acorns Children’s Hospice in Worcester and Prostate Cancer Group (Kidderminster).

Last year’s event raised a record £15,700 and organisers are hoping to top that amount this time.

Prizes will be awarded for individual men and women as well as for teams while there will also be a putting competition and ‘beat the pro’ amongst other competitions.

The event has been further boosted through sponsorship from Streetbike in Halesowen, Thermotech Ltd, Motorline Toyota Stourbridge, Rygor Mercedes in Worcester, Kidderminster Motorcycle Mart, Double 22 Racing & MFB, Classic Restoration and Moto Mark Racing in Wollaston.

To enter, it costs £35 per person and £140 per team and this includes 18 holes of golf, breakfast bap, tea, coffee and a buffet afterwards.

There are a few tee times available and anyone who wishes to take part can call Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club Pro Shop or email angela.gaskell@yahoo.com.
