CLASSICAL music enthusiasts can delight in a night of renowned orchestral works at a Kidderminster concert, featuring an award-winning musician.
After a previous concert was cancelled due to the formidable ‘Beast from the East,’ the Wyre Forest Symphony Orchestra will return to perform Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday July 7, starting at 7.30pm.
Music-lovers can expect a programme featuring Roman Carnival Overture by Berlioz, Bassoon Concerto by Weber and Mendelssohn's Symphony No.5 (the Reformation Symphony).
Acclaimed bassoon player Rebecca Eldridge, MMus, BMus (Hons), will be performing at the event, who previously gained a scholarship to Guild Hall School of Music and Drama, achieved first class honours at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and received numerous awards.
Bewdley-based conductor Rachel Greenwood will be taking up the baton for the concert, who previously gave a virtuosic performance as a soloist in the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.
Tickets for the concert are priced from £5 to £10, with child entry free of charge in downstairs seating.
