KIDDERMINSTER wine connoisseurs can rejoice at a newly opened bar offering an authentic Sicilian wine-tasting and dining experience.

The Italian wine café Veeno popped its cork in Kidderminster last month, inviting people to enjoy tastes of Italy and the Mediterranean at its scenic riverside development location.

Guests can enjoy a host of white, red, rosé and fizzy wines, as well as a menu including spuntini appetizers, cured meats, cheeses, salads and traditional desserts – with staff recommending the perfect wine to compliment menu choices.

Nino Caruso, Co-Founder of Veeno, says: “I’m thrilled with how successful the opening of Kidderminster has been; when we saw Riverside, we knew it was the perfect place to bring our little piece of Italy.

“Our focus was on creating an Aperitif-centred location for relaxation, serving up high quality food and the finest Sicilian wines around.

“We want people from all walks of life to come and enjoy lunch and dinner throughout the week, so whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch at work or having a big night out at the weekend, Veeno is the place to be!”

The wine comes from hand-picked Italian producers, and their own wine is from Caruso and Minini, Nino’s family vineyard back in Sicily, where the first vines were planted in the 19th century.

This is the 19th Veeno to open in the UK, with other cafés in places including London Edinburgh, Manchester and Brighton.
