A LONG-running band are set to perform an eclectic range of music to delight enthusiasts at an annual family concert.
The Alverley Village Band, which includes Kidderminster musicians, will hit the right notes at their Sound of Summer event on Saturday July 21 at St Mary’s Church, Alverley from 7pm to 9.30pm.
The group will perform a mix of pop hits from The Beatles to Rock Around the Clock, music from the movies including Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Summer Nights from Grease, classic musical renditions of Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and Les Misérables songs, as well as Bizet and Gershwin numbers.
Stephen Lomas will conduct the band on the evening, which also features performances from a clarinet group.
