GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there are the usual areas of traffic.

There are temporary traffic lights in place on Amblecote Road around Woods Lane in Quarry Bank due to a burst water main. The repair works started on Wednesday morning. The water main has been fixed and repairs to the road are expected to continue through the weekend.

M5 southbound has a lane closed on exit slip road due to broken down vehicle at J5 A38 (Droitwich / Wychbold). Lane one (of two) is closed following the break down at around 5.20am.

Areas of planned roadworks are also causing delays and they include:

One lane closed and speed restriction of 30 mph due to contraflow and major roadworks on M5 both ways between J1 A41 Birmingham Road (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 A4123 (Oldbury / Birmingham). Expect delays.

Works on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

One lane closed due to roadworks on M5 link road Southbound from M6. The M5 link road South coming off the M6 is down to one lane as part of the viaduct work.

One lane closed due to traffic management for the M5 Oldbury Viaduct roadworks on M5 Northbound at J4A M5. Linked to the major roadworks further up at the Oldbury Viaduct between J2 and J1.

There is a speed restriction of 30 mph due to roadworks in Bromsgrove on A38 Worcester Road westbound between Austin Road and B4091, while there are roadworks and temporary traffic lights on Quantry Lane both ways at The Gutter, near Bell End.

Tessall Lane in Longbridge is closed due to roadworks at Longbridge Lane. The stretch between the bridge over the River Rea by the Austin Social Club entrance to the junction with Longbridge Lane will be closed permanently to motorised vehicles.

There are temporary traffic lights and roadworks on A448 Comberton Road near Kidderminster Train Station, while in Redditch, Mount Pleasant is closed both ways due to incident between Beaufort Street and Ludlow Road. A partial building collapse means the road remains closed for safety reasons.
