WYRE Forest gin lovers can quench their thirsts with award-winning liquor at an 11-day festival at two Wetherspoons pubs.

The Penny Black in Bull Ring, Kidderminster and George Hotel in Load Street, Bewdley, will serve gins from Japan, Portugal, Spain, Germany and Italy, as well as gins produced in the UK and flavoured from Friday August 17 to Monday August 27 inclusive.

International gins include the Sharish Blue Magic Gin from Portugal and Malfy Gin Con Limone from Italy, with UK gins including Finni’s Black Bee Gin, Bathtub Gin and Wrecking Coast Clotted Cream Gin.

The Penny Black manager Matthew Wear said: "The majority of gins in the festival have not been available in the pub beforehand and I am looking forward to serving them.

"The festival promises to be great fun and I am certain that customers will enjoy trying the superb range of gins we have on offer."

The price of gins on offer range from £2.75 to £4.40 for single measures served in a balloon-shaped Copa de Balon glass which includes a free mixer.

Tasting notes on all the gins will be also be available in the pubs.
