BIG-HEARTED residents at the Three Roses care home in Clent have been busy knitting to help dogs in need.
Residents at the home in Holy Cross, which cares for people with learning difficulties, have been knitting squares to make blankets for down on their luck animals which they hope to donate to a rescue charity.
Sarah Thompson, activity co-ordinator at the home, said resident Gillian Timmins, aged 70, came up with the charitable knitting project idea and she added: “She loves to knit and she likes dogs.”
Together the ladies have knitted around 30 blankets and they now want to hear from a local organisation which could benefit from them.
Any charitable causes interested can call Sarah Thompson on 01562 730730 or 07989 712165.
