AN inaugural walk is being held along the towpath of the canal in Kidderminster to raise money for cancer screening.
Kidderminster and District Prostate Support Group has arranged the walk, taking place on Sunday, September 30.
Cash raised will enable the group to continue the screening programme for early signs of prostate cancer in men aged 50 or over at members' quarterly meetings. To date, 1,000 men have been tested in Kidderminster.
Walkers taking part on the day include Worcestershire weatherman, Paul Damari and Joan Nutland, of Kidderminster Scout Fellowship.
Anyone wanting to sponsor a walker, order a sponsorship form or make a donation can contact Joan or John Nutland, the walk organisers, on 01562 823609.
