Stourport Sports Club meeting 'extremely positive'

A MEETING of Stourport Sports Club's board of directors following the devestating fire that destroyed the clubhouse was "extremely positive", according to a board member.

Rob Lashford, board member and secretary of Stourport Hockey Club, said the directors would be meeting with the club's insurers today to discuss the way forward.

He added: "At the meeting last night there was a consensus that we need to minimise disruption and work to get a new clubhouse built as soon as possible."

He explained that until the meeting with the insurance company he could not comment any further but said it would be "business as usual" at the club.
