NATHAN DESMOND (Conservative): I am one of your two Conservative district councillors for Oldington & Foley Park. In the six years that I have had to represent you, I have worked tirelessly to improve Oldington and Foley Park and I am determined to continue doing that work. So far some of my major achievements have been: led a successful campaign against a telephone mast application on the Rifle Range, provided new road surfaces and new pavements in Kinver Avenue and Gould Avenue on the Birchen Coppice, stopped the illegal parking of vehicles on the pavements of Beauchamp Avenue, had the lime trees trimmed in Beauchamp Avenue, Neville Avenue and Blount Terrace, had Rifle Range Road and Shrawley Avenue roads completely resurfaced, had numerous extra litter bins installed throughout the ward. I have also been a tireless campaigner for road safety measures in the ward, especially on Walter Nash Road and Goldthorn Road. I will continue to lobby the County Council for a school crossing and traffic calming measures in these areas. I am heavily involved in the local community, sitting on both the Pathfinder and the Oldington and Foley Park Governing Boards. I sit on the PACT panel and deal with many issues affecting residents. I also regularly attend the numerous Wyre Forest Community Housing Tenants meetings.
