Police chased speeding driver

POLICE chased a speeding motorist through Kidderminster and Stourport on New Year's Eve, Worcester Crown Court was told.

Wayne Timmins went through a red light and broke several speed limits in his Peugeot 306 on December 31, 2005, said Peter Parson, prosecuting.

The car was abandoned at 2am in Bewdley Road, Stourport, and Timmins was arrested nearby.

Timmins, 23, of Coronation Road, Friar Park, Wednesbury, who admitted dangerous driving, was remanded on bail for a pre-sentence report. The court heard that he was already disqualified for three years for driving while banned in 2006.
