Online poll: Safety first

IT was a case of safety first when Shuttle Online readers were asked their opinions about children cycling on the roads.
More than three out of four readers who voted in last week's online poll thought parents were right to stop their children riding on the road or confine them to their home street due to safety fears.
The remaining 21 per cent did not think their actions were warranted.
