DOGS of all ages and breeds went barking mad when they wagged their tails to compete at an event which raised hundreds of pounds for charity.

There were more than 80 entries in the family dog show, hosted by Christine Probert and her husband, Richard, at the Running Horse pub, in Longbank.

It is the highest number of entries the show has had since it started five years ago and there were categories for the dog with the waggiest tail and the most appealing.

Six hundred pounds was raised on the day and the cash will be donated to County Air Ambulance and Redwings Horse and Donkey Sanctuary.

Mrs Probert said: “It was amazing because we had a record attendance. We had a lovely family day, where people brought their dogs along.

“It was unbelievable. The attendance this year was amazing. It just seems to get bigger and better each year.

“The dog show is a fun day and everyone came along with their dogs and had a good time.”
