MEMBERS of Kidderminster and district soroptimists celebrated the groups 60th anniversary with a special lunch.
About 114 people attended the event which was held at the Wharton Park Golf Club, in Bewdley, including guest speaker Sylvia Heal MP.
The group’s 20 members were also joined by mayors from Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley. Wyre Forest MP, Dr Richard Taylor, also attended.
Shirley Bonas, president of the group, said: “The lunch went brilliantly. Everyone had a wonderful time. We have had a good response from people who came to the event.
“There were guests from soroptimist groups in Germany and from across the Midlands.”
She added: “We are a service organisation for women and we help raise money for charity.”
