CALLING all grassroots youth footballers - how would you like to lead out Wayne Rooney and other superstar Premiership players at this year's FA Community Shield match at a packed Wembley Stadium next month?

Well this is your chance to do just that!

Shuttle Online has teamed up with McDonalds, the presenting partner of the FA Community Shield, to find two lucky youngsters to join Premiership champions Manchester United and FA Cup winners Portsmouth for the 2008/2009 football season curtain raiser on August 10.

Not only will the winning youngsters walk out the players onto the famous Wembley turf in London but they will also meet 1966 World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst.

The prize includes tickets for the game for each winner plus a parent or guardian, transport to Wembley Stadium and hotel accommodation.

Youngsters will also receive their own team kit and rucksack with water bottles and other goodies.

We want mums and dads to nominate their child to win this fabulous prize. Maybe they've had a fantastic football season and deserve a treat, or do they need a special surprise for having an unlucky season? Here's your chance to make your child's football dreams come true.

To enter, simply text SHIELD leave a space, followed by your child's name, age and address to 80360.

For example SHIELD JOHN SMITH 9 30 FARRINGDON STREET LONDON Remember text lines close midday on Monday, July 28. Winners will be contacted by phone once the competition has closed. Texts cost 50p plus your standard message charge.

Service provided by Newsquest Media Group. Children must be aged 7-10 years. Terms and conditions apply and the editor's decision is final.

The two winners will be selected from all entries received by the Kidderminster Shuttle and its Newsquest sister papers taking part in this promotion.

McDonalds is a key player in not only increasing access to qualified grassroots football coaching but also providing more opportunities for more children to play and enjoy Britain's national game, creating a legacy that will last for years to come.

And through its network of coaches, McDonalds is also supporting The FA in its bid to help coaches, referees, football players, and parents to show respect in a new programme to stamp out bad behaviour. The FA's Respect Campaign will launch at the Community Shield and will be implemented across all levels of football over the coming months.
