A KIDDERMINSTER man received two unsolicited emails claiming to be from banks and building societies.
He received the emails over the last two days, asking him to verify his details or the accounts would be suspended.
However, he was suspicious, as he did not bank with the organisations involved, and did not respond.
Police have advised him to delete the emails.
A police spokesman said: "People are reminded never to give out their personal details and especially not bank details in response to unsolicited phone calls, emails or letters.
"There are many different scams, some of which are very convincing, but people should not be deceived and under no circumstances should they disclose any information or even respond.”
