A BIRMINGHAM man has been cleared of stealing a £40,000 Audi in a burglary near Bewdley after the prosecution offered no evidence when he was due for trial at Worcester Crown Court.
But 26-year-old David Walton, of Durham Road, was remanded in custody after he admitted aggravated vehicle taking and driving the Audi dangerously on the A456 at Hagley on August 8 last year.
He also pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and without insurance.
Walton had denied taking part in a burglary at Clee Heath, Mamble, on August 8 when the car was taken.
He will be sentenced in the week beginning September 29, when a burglary in Orkney Road, Wilnecote, Tamworth, will be taken into consideration. He has already admitted this offence at Stafford Crown Court.
