Man was given suspended sentence

IN an online report, on kidderminstershuttle.co.uk, of a court case, headlined “Man subdued with CS gas spray’”, last Thursday, it was stated John Wilde, 26, of Woodbury Road, Foley Park, Kidderminster, was given a 16-week community order.

Wilde, who had pleaded guilty to having offensive weapons in a public place, drunk and disorderly behaviour and assaulting a policeman by spitting in his face, was, in fact, given a 16-week sentence, suspended for two years, subject to an 18-month supervision order, as well as being ordered to attend a general offending behaviour programme supervised by the probation service.
