Hospital ward closed following outbreak

THE Cookley ward at Kidderminster Hospital has been closed to new admissions and visitors following an outbreak of Norovirus.
It is the only ward in the hospital that has been affected by the diarrhoea and vomiting outbreak and the rest of the wards will be open as usual.
A spokeswoman for Worecstershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust said: “The idea is to reduce the number of visitors. Norovirus spreads very quickly and it’s highly contagious.
“We’re really grateful to the support of the public.”
