A KIDDERMINSTER charity shop which wowed customers with its ‘trashion’ display is making an appeal for clothes and bric-a-brac.
Scope in Worcester Street relies on people to donate stock which it then sells at its shops to generate income for its work with disabled people.
The shop’s ‘trashion’ project, created by students at Kidderminster College, proved a hit with customers last year.
Funky recycled fashions, including a dress made from zips, a ball gown made from plastic and old items of clothes embellished with unwanted materials were on show.
Staff are hoping to create more eye-catching displays with new donations.
Olive Lowe, area manager for Scope, said: “Why not have a root around in your wardrobes, cupboards or the attic and see what you no longer need. Rather than throw out unloved goods, why not recycle by dropping off at our Scope shop or call us on 01562 820572 and we’ll come and collect?
“With each donation you are making a real difference to the lives of disabled people, allowing us to continue running schools, adult services, Scope Response helpline and our campaigning for disabled people to achieve equality.”
