A BY-election to fill a vacancy within the Lickhill ward of Wyre Forest District Council will be held on September 10.

It follows the death of councillor Jill Fairbrother-Millis, Independent Community and Health Concern ward member for Lickhill.

She died in June after a long battle against breast cancer. She was first elected to the district council in 2002.

Eectors whose names appear on the Lickhill ward register of electors will be able to vote at this election.

The deadline for registering as an elector for this election is 5pm on August 25.

Polling will take place between 7am and 10pm at the following polling stations in Stourport - Scout Headquarters in Lickhill Road North, Stourport Community Centre in Lickhill Road, Church Hall, Baptist Church in Minster Road and Stourport Youth Centre in Windermere Way.

Voters can also use a postal or proxy vote. If you are not already registered for this you will need to complete an application form, which is available from www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/voting.

Completed applications forms must be received by the electoral registration oficer by the following deadlines - new postal voting request or changes to existing postal/proxy vote, 5pm on August 25, new proxy voting request, 5pm on September 2.
