A JURY has returned a verdict of accidental death at an inquest into the death of a Kidderminster builder in Stourbridge.
A three week hearing into the death of Jeff Blent, of Walter Nash Road, by Black Country Coroner Robin Balmain finished on Friday, August 14.
Mr Blent died when a wall and scaffolding collapsed at the construction site of the JD Wetherspoon pub in Stourbridge High Street, on Friday July 23, 2004.
An investigation by health and safety officers at the time of the incident found the 43-year-old sub-contractor was knocking the wall down by hand when it collapsed.
