A SERIES of customer service events are being held in Stourport for residents concerned about the major works being carried out in the Gilgal area.

The co-ordinated works, which should be completed in three phases from September 18 to October 25, will renew water pipes, power cables and street lighting.

Conservative Derek Prodger, the county council’s cabinet member for transport and safer environment, said: "I would encourage any resident who has questions or concerns relating to the works in Gilgal, Stourport, to visit the customer services mobile unit and speak to one of the representatives."

The customer service mobile unit will be at the following locations:

Wednesday, September 2, 10am to 4pm, Co-operative supermarket car park, Lombard Street.

Thursday, September 3,1pm to 8pm, entrance to Danters Amusements (by the bridge), Bridge Street.

Friday, September 4, 10am to 2pm, Co-operative supermarket car park, Lombard Street.

Monday, September 7, 1pm to 8pm, Co-operative supermarket car park, Lombard Street.

Tuesday, September 8, 10am to 4pm, entrance to Danters Amusements (by the bridge), Bridge Street.

Wednesday, September 9, 10am to 4pm, Co-operative supermarket car park, Lombard Street.
