Harriers ladies got back on track in the West Midlands League Premier Division with a 3-2 win over Stoke-based Bradwell Belles on Sunday.

They had thought they had scored after only three minutes when Laura Donnelly found the back of the goal from 20 yards out, but the referee blew for a foul.

Five minutes later, Harriers opened the scoring when last year’s top scorer Debbie Harris headed home a corner at the back post.

They added a second in the 16th minute, when Harris slotted past the advancing keeper from just inside the 18 yard box.

Mel Harling pulled a goal back for Bradwell in the 21st minute, but Harris completed her hat-track in the 32nd minute when she rounded the keeper.

Bradwell pulled a goal back in the second half through Nat Chapman, but Harriers held on for three points.

n Ferndale ladies B got the better of Hereford 4-1 in the Worcestershire and Herefordshire League, with Debbie Prescott bagging a brace.

The under-10s youth team got the better of Newtown 7-0, while the under-13s Youth Flyers side beat Kinver 8-0, with Ellie-May Ward (2), Kathryn Baylis (3), Eilidh Shakespeare, Holly Baron and Poppy Archer scoring. Molly Maguire scored for Ferndale under-13s Youth in their 4-1 loss to Alvechurch Lions.

n Cookley Sports under-16s to beat league leaders Warndon Villages 5-3.

Warndon took the lead through Ellie Gerhold. Just before half-time, Cookley drew level, when Megan Lowell fed the ball to Rachel Crompton, who finished clinically.

The second half was the Ellie Richardson show as she showed her quality with three goals, albeit Warndon continued to claw goals back. Georgia Oakley headed home to make the final score 5-3.
