Horse rescued from Cookley canal

A HORSE was rescued by Kidderminster firefighters after it became stuck in a canal in Cookley.
The 10-year-old mare, named Bobby, had wandered into the Worcestershire and Staffordshire canal yesterday morning.
Firefighters were called at about 10am and used strops to lift the horse out of the water.
The horse was not injured and the RSPCA attended to make sure it was okay.
