AGGBOROUGH is definitely an interesting place to be at present, with results going well on the pitch and all of the ins and outs since the Christmas period starting with the departures of Mark Yates and Neil Howarth, who have moved onto Cheltenham to try their luck in the Football League.

While the dressing room was sad to see them leave after doing a very good job here, I'm sure all the boys would join me in wishing them well in the future.

Liam Dolman has gone out on loan to Corby to get some valuable first team games under his belt in the Blue Square North and Zac Costello also out on loan to Evesham for the same reason.

Aaron Farrell's contract has expired which has given him the chance to go to worcester City and kick start his career there, I'd like to thank him for his hard work and wish him all the best in his future career.

Steve Burr, appointed as our new boss, has made a great start to his time here with a six-game unbeaten run with four wins and two draws.

He has shown that he's prepared to make changes and some big decisions already and he's got the respect of the players instantly.

I was delighted when offered the chance to be the gaffer's number two after my short spell as caretaker and I'm looking forward to learning from him both on and off the pitch as management is something that interests me for the future.

It's been great to have Dave McDermott back in full training this week after his worrying illness, he seems to be on the mend now so hopefully it won't be too long before he's skipping passed opposition defenders again after having made a good start to the season.

There is a few rumours flying around the dressing room that Macca was never actually ill at all and after returning to the changing room last week with a full head of hair, he'd actually taken time off to visit the Graham Gooch regrowth clinic.

Macca has also saved his local sunbed shop after fears they might go under while he was holed-up in hospital, the owners have assured us takings are back to normal and we have certainly noticed the glow in the dressing room!!!

We have introduced a Thursday club named 'The KHFC Players Come Dine With Me' for a bit of fun and also to keep the lads together after training to help add to the already fantastic spirit in the camp.

Last week, the gaffer, Gav Crowe and myself really produced something special for the boys and I'm sure the marks will mirror what a superb meal we put on for everyone.

I would like all the players to be aware that there is a mole amongst them though as one player, naming no names, came to the gaffers office to tell us that there had been some rather unfair tactical voting going on.

This week's chefs are Riley, Benno and Robbie and I feel for them a bit as they have a very hard act to follow.

Dean Coleman has been suffering from a hernia problem for some time now and it has become obvious he will need surgery to put the problem right after visiting a specialist.

Hopefully Deano can get in for this soon so we can have him back fighting fit before the end of the season.

He is obviously disappointed after making the number one jersey his own this season and we wish him good luck with his surgery and rehabilitation.
