A TOTAL of 15,000 stamps were sold by Kidderminster Scouts making their Christmas rounds.
For 15p per stamp, a card was delivered to anywhere in Kidderminster, Blakedown, Cookley or Wolverley.
A list of outlets for stamps and a special post box were available at The Shuttle offices in Blackwell Street, Kidderminster.
Other outlets included The Hub at Kidderminster Town Hall, Kidderminster’s John Beard Tools and Ironmongery and Kaleidoscope Hair Design, Swift Butchers in Cookley and The Old Village Store in Wolverley.
Stamps went on sale from Wednesday, November 25 until Friday, December 18. Sorting began as soon as the post boxes were collected and delivery started on December 19.
Joan Nutland, a member of the Kidderminster Scout Fellowship, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to all shops and outlets who participated, including The Shuttle, who do a grand job every year, despite having to run their own businesses at such a busy time.”
