HOLIDAY fun reached new heights as hundreds of families visited Playday Stourport for an action-packed afternoon.

The event, at Lickhill Park, saw children somersaulting on bungee trampolines and scaling the highest mobile climbing wall in the UK.

Young stars showcased their talents on the karaoke stage and challenged their balance and co-ordination at circus school, led by unicyclist, Steve Kaos.

This year’s theme was Our Place, aimed at putting children at the heart of the community and encouraging everyone to create a better environment to live and play. To celebrate the theme, children painted Our Place on a Playday sign.

Conservative, Tracey Onslow, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for community and partnership services, said: “The summer holidays are all about children playing outside and enjoying themselves and Playday events bring a whole host of activities to keep our children busy.

“It’s part of a programme of events which Wyre Forest District Council has organised for children over the summer.“

Playday events have finished for this year but there are still activities available, including reptile days with rangers, craft days at Bewdley Museum and a street dance course.
