A STUDENT from Kidderminster is through to the quarter finals of Miss England.
Jamie Stojkowski, 19, who studies sports therapy and rehabilitation at The University of Worcester, sent off her picture to be considered for the competition.
She was chosen to take part in a photoshoot and then given a modelling assignment with two other contestants, which appeared in the Worcester News.
She is now up for a public vote to get through to the next stage and voting ends on Friday, November 27.
She said: “I feel so excited to have been chosen to be in the quarter finals.
"I entered the competition thinking that I wouldn't be taken seriously. To now be on the Miss England website is amazing.”
She added: “I have had a few negative comments from people but the comments are making me increasingly focused on succeeding and making my friends and family proud of me.”
