A GROUP of 15 former pupils attended their old Kidderminster school for Armistice Day.

The visit took place after three former pupils of Foley Park Primary School - Norris Trout, Tony Smith and Robert Barber - who attended the school from 1946 to 1953, decided to try and arrange a school reunion.

So far they have found about 30 ex-school mates and 15 of them attended the school’s Armistice Day assembly.

Mr Barber said: “After the excellent Armistice Day assembly presented by class five based on a remembering theme, the ex-pupils were given an excellent tour of the school by some of the present day pupils.

“It brought back many memories from all those years ago and we were all greatly impressed how the school, which is well over 100-years-old, has been brought into the 21st century.”

He added: “Everyone enjoyed the experience and our thanks go to Kathryn Sugar, Linda Davis, and staff and pupils for allowing us to disrupt their lessons. I am quite sure they all enjoyed it too.”

The group plans to try arrange a larger event next year.
