Bible to be read in Kidderminster churches

THE Bible will be read in churches in Kidderminster over nine days to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.

From Wednesday, May 4 to Friday, May 13, volunteers will read the Bible from cover to cover.

The events will start on the Wednesday with a reading by the town crier and Kidderminster Mayor Jeffrey Baker. Christian composer Roger Jones will also make an appearance on the day.

On the following day there will be readings at The Salvation Army, St Mary’s and Trinity Methodist Churches.

The Bible will be read at Baxter United Reformed and Broadwaters Methodist Church, will take place on Friday, May 6.

Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier will give a reading at Holy Innocents Church, on Saturday, May 7 and readings will also b held at Foley Park methodists Church on the day.

People can listen to readings at Trinity Methodist Church on the following day and at St George’s, St Ambrose and Franche Baptist Churches, on Monday, May 9.

From Tuesday, May 10 until Friday, May 13, there will be readings at St Mary’s, Trinity Methodist, St George’s, Franche Baptist and St Ambrose Churches. There will also be another reading at the town hall.
