TEACHERS across Wyre Forest will go on strike on Thursday, meaning hundreds of children will not be going to school.
The national one-day walk out by members of National Union of Teachers (NUT) and the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) is to make a stand against pension changes.
Wyre Forest schools which will be forced to close have so far been confirmed as:
•Great Witley C E Primary
•Hartlebury CE Primary School
•Heronswood Primary School
•King Charles I School
•Wolverley CE Secondary School.
The following schools will be affected by partial closures:
•Astley CE Primary School - Reception and year one closed all day. Year two children attending afternoon only.
•Birchen Coppice Primary School -The following classes are closed, year six, year three, year three/four LSU, nurture group and reception class. Year five will go home at 1pm.
•Comberton Primary School - nursery closed all day. Year one open in the morning and closed at 1pm. Year six closed all day. Year three/four will be closed in the morning and open at 1pm.
•St Ambrose Catholic Primary School - closed all day to the following year groups, year one, year two and year three.
•St George's CE Primary School and Nursery - closed all day to the following year groups, nursery, reception and year five.
•St Johns CE Primary School - four classes closed, one from each of year six, year four, year three and year two.
•The Bewdley School & Sixth Form Centre - closed all day to year eight and year nine.
•Wolverley Sebright Primary School - closed all day for years three and four.
