A KIND-hearted Stourport teenager parted with her long locks for a charity that makes wigs for children with hair loss.

Jenny Cleaver, 16, of Bewdley Road, had 14 inches of her tresses snipped off for the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to children who have had cancer treatment or alopecia.

“I am just so happy to be able to make a difference,” said Jenny, captain of Heathfield School in Wolverley. On top of the gift of a new hair do for a child she has also raised more than £1,200 in sponsorship for the charity. “I am so happy that everybody supported me,” said the goal defence for Kidderminster Carolians youth and Worcestershire County under 16s netball teams.

Jenny’s mother, Caroline Cleaver, said: “I am incredibly proud of her. She is just such a lovely, kind person.”
