A BEWDLEY teenager who lost her mother suddenly to a brain haemorrhage will parachute jump for Kemp Hospice.
In 2009, Danielle Jones-Fisher, was just 13 when her mother Sharon Jones, 41, called into work sick with a severe headache. Just 50 minutes later, her mother Gwen Jones, 63, found her dead.
Danielle’s grandmother had been battling cancer for five years and passed away 364 days after her daughter. She was treated at Kemp Hospice.
Now 16, Danielle and her uncle Mark Jones, Sharon's brother, have raised £1,300 in sponsorship for their parachute jump. It takes place on Saturday, June 2.
Mr Jones said: “We are raising money for a great hospice that helped my family through the worst period of our lives.”
He added: “This fundraising is to say thank you to all the people who selflessly help people every day at Kemp hospice and to say thank you to Gwen and Sharon for the lives they touched.”
