KIDDERMINSTER and District Lions Club’s new president says he is “looking forward” to the year ahead.
Terry White was officially handed presidential duties by former president Colin Hill on Sunday.
The club has a busy calendar of events in the coming year including the Arley to Stourport Raft Race, Santa collections, Bewdley New Year’s Day duck race and other events.
Mr White said: “We are looking forward to an exciting year.
“We have a new emphasis on getting to know more about the various charitable and support groups in the local area to help us to really make a difference in our communities.
“We will be looking hard to find individuals who care about other people in their communities and who might find membership of the Lions Club helps them to turn caring thoughts into action.”
