Councillor boosts Scout group

A KIDDERMINSTER Scout group has been given a cash boost to replace windows at its hut.

The 1st Kidderminster Sea Scout Group, in Hoo Road, was given £500 by Conservative Wyre Forest councillor John Aston , who donated the cash from his community leadership fund.

The cash will be used to replace two windows at the side of the hut.

Pete Williams, group Scout leader, said: “I’m delighted that councillor Aston came to the rescue and made this money available so that we can make the premises secure and safe.”

Mr Aston added: “I was only too happy to help. I’m pleased to support any activity for the youth.”
