The 1st Kidderminster Sea Scout Group, in Hoo Road, was given £500 by Conservative Wyre Forest councillor John Aston , who donated the cash from his community leadership fund.

Pete Williams, group Scout leader, said: “I’m delighted that councillor Aston came to the rescue and made this money available so that we can make the premises secure and safe.”
