THERE’S no disguising this Severn Valley Railway (SVR) locomotive which, equipped with mutton chop sideburns, has been given the Bradley Wiggins’ look.

In honour of Team GB's success at the Olympic Games, SVR’s loco Bradley Manor has been put on the right track with a makeover based on the winner of the Tour de France and the Olympic cycling time trial. Gold for the man known as ‘Wiggo’ gave him a record-breaking seventh Olympic medal.

As well as the sideburns, the locomotive has also been given new plates and a gold paint job. SVR was the first railway in the UK to welcome the Olympic Torch Relay in May.

This year also marks the 150th anniversary of the line, which transported visitors to the Wenlock Olympian Games in 1862.

Team GB sailor Alison Young , from Bewdley, who was fifth in the Laser Radial class in her first Olympics, was on hand to unveil the locomotive’s new look.
