Kidderminster man charged with racially aggravated disorder

A MAN has appeared in court charged with theft and racially aggravated disorder following an incident at the Tesco Express in Stourport Road, Kidderminster.

James Taylor, 28, of Bewdley Road, Kidderminster, was arrested following the incident on Sunday evening, which began inside the store.

He appeared before town magistrates yesterday when he pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of beer from the store on the same occasion but denied causing another man racially aggravated harassment, alarm or distress.

Taylor was released on conditional bail by the court to reappear before magistrates on October 2 for trial on the racially aggravated public order offence.
