Appeal for volunteers at county museum
7:20am Monday 10th September 2012 in News
Doing their bit: Volunteers Beth Broadway, 23 and Diana Foster, 72 supervising dinosaur-themed craft activity sessions.
VOLUNTEERS are needed at Worcestershire County Museum at Hartlebury Castle to help out with special events and school holiday activities.
Event volunteers will need to greet visitors, assist in the shop, organise car parking and help out with refreshments at family fun days, historical re-enactments, transport shows and country fairs.
Activities volunteers are also needed to help children with art and crafts during half terms and holidays.
Rachel Robinson, visitor experience manager, said: “Our volunteers get a wonderful sense of satisfaction in knowing they have been able to make a visitor's day more enjoyable or have helped a child to engage more with the past and of course, what a beautiful location to spend some time in.”
Volunteers would need to work one or two days per month.
