Stourport Inner Wheel group donates to dogs charity

A STOURPORT community group has donated money to help look after stray and abondoned dogs.
The town’s Inner Wheel raised money from several fundraising events and the total - which the club did not want to reveal - was matched by Kidderminster’s Just for Pets store.
The money was donated to Dogs Trust in Evesham.
Inner Wheels spokesman Carol Roberts said: “I chose Dogs Trust because my family have a dog from there.
“We went around a lot of dog rescue places, some of them were not nice and we found this one to be really nice and I knew straight away [our dog] was the one we wanted. Everyone in the group was happy to support the donation.
“Staff at the trust were really pleased to see us when we went to hand in the donation. They collected a rescue dog, a white lurcher called Stacey, to help.”
