Brintons 'making progress' a year on from takeover

KIDDERMINSTER’S Brintons Carpets is in a “much improved position” 12 months on from its acquisition by the Carlyle Group, according to its managing director.

Don Coates said the company made a profit during nine of the 11 months traded since the take over.

He said: “It’s not yet where I want it to be but certainly constitutes a turnaround for a business that had been loss making.

“I’m delighted with the progress. I have a great team of people in Kidderminster and we plan to take the business from strength to strength.”
