THE speed limit on a road in which a Kidderminster couple were killed has been reduced.
The B4084 in Wick, near Pershore has been reduced from 50mph to 40mph following the deaths of Luke Morris, 22, of Robins Court, and his partner Elizabeth Stanley, 24, of Foxholes, in June. Mr Morris' sister Rebecca Townsend, 26, of Pershore was also killed in the crash and her husband Craig suffered multiple injuries.
A Worcestershire County Council spokesman said: “As part of the council's countywide speed limit review, which included a thorough examination of traffic speeds on the B4084 in Wick, near Pershore, the speed limit has been reduced from 50 to 40 mph.
“The decision to reduce the speed limit took place before the recent accident, as part of a planned rollout of speed limit alterations across the county.”
