THE Mayor of Bewdley is putting the kettle on to support Macmillan’s World Biggest Coffee Morning.

Mayor John Latham will be holding his coffee morning at Bewdley Youth Cafe, in Load Street, on Friday, September 28.

The event will run from 10am until 12.30pm.

Mayor Latham said: “I hope that the people of Bewdley will come out to have a delicious piece of cake and cup of coffee to raise money for this very worthy cause.”

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning became a national fundraising event in 1991 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Last year 538 coffee mornings took place across the county raising a total of over £100,000 in Worcestershire.

Coffee morning hosts can still register at macmillan.org.uk/maketime or by calling 0845 070 1317.
