Kidderminster College will be showing how they can guide visitors to the Jobs Fair into the world of employment.

The college, one of the exhibitors at the Wyre Forest Jobs Fair at Kidderminster Town Hall on September 20 will be on hand to highlight if one of their apprenticeships or courses is suitable for you and your career aspirations.

Many of the college’s learners have gained full-time jobs after completing courses due to work experience organised by the college. It also offers the chance to earn while you learn. The college has many apprenticeship vacancies in Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport.

Find out more by calling 01562 826515 or go and visit the stand at the Jobs Fair. Harriet Denning, from Blakebrook, had first-hand experience of how successful the work-college course can be.

Harriet works at Lawrence Recycling in Kidderminster, where she started as a general accounts office clerk when she was 16 years old. Now 20, she has completed an Intermediate and Higher Apprenticeships in Accountancy with the college.

Harriet said: “I’m so pleased I became an apprentice because I could apply my college tuition to a real job. The apprenticeship meant I could have the best of both worlds – experience from a workplace and learning at college.

“I started as an inexperienced student and am now a professional member of staff. In five years, I aim to be a management accountant with an ultimate aim of financial director later in life.”

Kidderminster College is happy to help you decide if an apprenticeship or a course is the right step for you to get that job. Call them on 01562 512003 or have an informal chat with their friendly staff at the fair.
