WYRE Forest fundraisers are getting ready to put the kettle on for Macmillan Cancer Support’s 22nd World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Last year, 538 coffee mornings took place across Worcestershire raising a total of over £100,000 in the county.
Bewdley Mayor John Latham will be holding his coffee morning at Bewdley Youth Cafe, in Load Street, on Friday, September 28.
The event will run from 10am until 12.30pm.
Mayor Latham said: “I hope that the people of Bewdley will come out to have a delicious piece of cake and cup of coffee to raise money for this very worthy cause.”
Chris Thacker is organising an event in Kidderminster in memory of his uncle, aunt and grandfather who all died of cancer at Holy Innocent’s Community Hall, in Stourport Road next Thursday, September 27.
Mr Thacker said: “None of them used Macmillan nurses but it’s a brilliant cause. We all know that Macmillan are there if we need them.”

Barclays employees in Kidderminster are taking time out on Friday, September 28 from 9.30am.
Employees and customers at the branch in Oxford Street hope to raise £400 for people affected by cancer.
Staff will be baking treats as part of a branch bake-off.
Jane Abbotts, Kidderminster branch manager said: “I have personally experienced the fantastic work that the Macmillan team do and I am sure that many people in the community have too."
Kidderminster and District Lions Club will be hosting a coffee morning at the Corn Exchange in Kidderminster Town Hall next Thursday from 10am.
An event will take place at Bewdley Rowing Club , in Riverside North, hosted by Carol Gittins and her friends from 10.30am on Thursday, September 27.

Pensax Village hall thrift shop will be open from 9am next Wednesday, September 26 with a cake stall and raffle to raise money for Macmillan.
A and M Bewdley care services in Kidderminster will be holding a coffee morning on Friday, September 28 at the Amspray Building, in Worcester Road from 10am until 2pm. Call 01562 750060.
